About us

First of all I want to thank you for taking the effort to visit this site
and giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. Just like many other
people I have in the course of years begun to look and see what's happening
in the world around me. After going on holidays to sparkling places
I began to travel to more distant places and the interest in other cultures
complete got me in its grip. In Europe, America, Africa and Asia, I have
experienced beautiful things. Every trip is a story in it self and has had
extremely varied influences on my view of
the
standards and values of our present society. Years ago the
“saint land” of India was on my wishlist. Despite the fact that many people
told me
that it was a difficult country to travel through I took the
challenge anyway. The culture is so different that many speak of a
culture shock when they enter the country. Fortunately I myself haven't had
this problem and felt quickly at ease with the “busy”
Indian people. The beautiful palaces and forts, which are situated in the
large cities, are certainly worth a visit, but my interest
went more to the local population. If I wanted to learn the “real” India I
had to go to the countryside. Here the influence of the rich
western world is yet scarcely noticeably and the large differences between
rich and poor is clearly manifested in this enormously large country. However unfair it may
be....these are the facts.

Something that struck me was the desire to work and the expertise the people have to produce beautiful products with, in our eyes, primitive tools. India is also a country full of artists. Only look at the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world in Agra. Though most of the villagers will get a number of year's elementary education, studying further is too expensive, so many boys and girls learn the craft from their parents. In this way the workmanship gets passed on from generation to generation and you will see that every town has developed his own specialty. Unfortunately these products will be bought by companies from the cities for way too low prices who will resell them to various buyers world-wide with large profits. This is also one of the reasons that the gap between rich and poor in this beautiful country increasingly grows.
That's why I want to devote myself for the local population. Not by just
giving them
money but by buying their products directly and putting a share of the
profit back into projects for the community. With this a whole village can
benefit from it and they themselves give prosperity to the community in which they live.
To achieve an as high as possible output you can order the products via the
Internet
only.
You
will get a beautiful product for an attractive price and in the meantime
support one or more projects immediately in the poor districts of
India. Thanks for your attention!
Who I actually am? Oh......I really almost forget to tell you.
My name is Eugen de Boer, 43 years old and a resident of the west frisian town of Oosterblokker in The Netherlands,
